Your daily dose of ignorance. Seriously, women probably have it worse than men? How can people become so blinded in ethnocentrism and ignorance, I’m flabbergasted. There’s a dude on the facebook page who is insisting that capitalism is exploiting no one and that anyone has a choice to quit their job and do something else. Isn’t the world a beautiful place? Women have preferential treatement, and workers are free and happy and no one is exploiting anyone. Ignorance is bliss.

Many people think they are thinking when they are merely rearranging their prejudices.

No drug, not even alcohol, causes the fundamental ills of society. If we’re looking for the source of our troubles, we shouldn’t test people for drugs, we should test them for stupidity, ignorance, greed and love of power.

“I learned everything I needed to about Christianity on July 22, 2011, in Norway”

ursula-hayes:

I’m not a religious person, everybody knows that.
But this is WRONG. This kind of thought is just as offensive and destructive as the one the killer preached.

What happened in Norway has NOTHING to do with Christianity. I doesn’t even have anything to do with God.
It was the act of a man. A horrible, ignorant, idiotic man.

That was my point. It’s a parrellel to the exact phrase said by so many bigoted people saying “I learned everything I needed to about Islam on 9/11”. Obviously this has nothing to do with Christianity. It’s simply ignorant to say that, it would be like saying this proves all white people are mass-murderers. But how many times in the media and politics has the same ignorant generalization been made about Al-Quaida and Islam. Why that man did that and what connexion there may be with fascist groups and/or religious fanatics remains to be seen.
